The Noob needs help.
Hey guys I just picked up a set of BBS LM- Front18x8+40 Rear 18x9+42, Im trying to determine how wide I can go?
Heres a little bit of Information on my set up.
Kw V3, Buddy club/SPC Ball joints all around and after market tie rods. I plan on putting 25mm wider Front fenders and Voltex rear over fenders. Im not a fan of the slammed look with the crazy camber, I want a Oem look with wider tires and handling benefits.
Any help is greatly apprieceated..

What's the point of wider fenders? Those will fit perfectly fine with rolled fenders and 225/40, 255/35 tires. I would not recommend running tires wider than that as you are somewhat limited by wheel width. If you go with wider fenders then you will want different wheels that are either lower offset or wider to allow more tire width.

My guess he is looking to widen the wheels. You could fit 11 inch wide rears and 10 inch wide fronts with a 255 front and 295 rear if you have the offset in the 50-60 range. Junky will need to chime in as he is the super wide wheel and tire expert.

Well, if performance and handling is the key goal here, but you have already purchased these wheels, then they are going to dictate the amount of rubber you can run. 235/40F 265/35R is as wide as I would go on these rim widths and its pushing it at that. Any more width will cause the tire to bulge too much on the rim and create more sidewall deflection, making for sloppy handing without the added grip return. The offsets of these wheels wont accommodate anymore rubber do to the offset either, and really the rear depending on the make of tire will be hard pressed to accommodate anymore then a 255 at +42. With the over fenders no problem at all with these wheels and the tires widths you want to run.
If you want to maximize the potential performance of the car with over fenders, your not gong to be running these conservative size wheels/tires. You will be running a couple inches wider all the way around.

Then stick to the 225/40 255/35 that was suggested previously. You will get better overall performance out of these then trying to cram a 235/265 on your rims and then also not fit your current fenders.
