Default Non Staggered set need help

So the time has come to purchase new shoes for my AP2... I have been researching like crazy but can't find an answer I am looking for. I am wanting to stick with a 17 and run a non staggered setup that I can rotate the tires front and rear with no problem I believe I have read somewhere about a good setup with 17x8 F/R with 245s all around. Does anyone have any input on this currently im running the stock AP2 V2 wheels with 215/F 255/R.

Stock setup has "stagger", is "staggered". Not "staggard"!
You want to go non-staggered, why?
245s want to be on 8.5" wheels, which you have in back already with stock ap2 rears. Why do you want to go to skinnier rears?
Nothing magic about non-staggered, particularly for a non track car without appropriate suspension setup. For a street car, I prefer stagger because lighter-weight and narrower fronts gives better handling feel. For a track setup, I wouldn't limit rear tire size based on what fits up front. Wouldn't rule out non-staggered, but wouldn't insist on it either. It's just another part of setup. Generally you'd want to maximize tire width. If wider tires fit in back, I wouldn't limit rear size just so they're the same as the fronts.

Rotatability isn't that big a deal, to me either. Overall wear rate is the same. Benefits of non-staggered being rotatable are IMO minor to non-existent.

I like to push my car in/through turns, so I am looking for contact. I was thinking of a 225F/255R on 17x8 and 17x9 setup as well but I have heard some good reviews of non staggered setups so thats why I have been looking, I have good suspension setup and it will be even better in a couple months when I am stationed back in the states along with better brakes. I am just in the market for summer wheels and tires thus my question.

Dunno why you'd think narrower rear wheels and tires would help you in cornering!

In all reality the only thing being more narrow then a factory setting would be the rear rim which a 8 inch wide wheel can handle a 245 tire easily which is a factory size on an ap2, and thats a good jump in size width on the front in both aspects as far as wheel and tire goes. I was just trying to find out what a better setup is... a square 245 on all four corners or 225/255 on 17x8/9, for smooth, quick, precise handling.

I'd go with 225/255 on 8/9 over 245/245 on 8/8. Of course you could also go 235/40-17 fronts 255/40-17 rears, or even 245/255 with the 17x8/9 setup.
17x8/9 => more options vs. 17x8 all around

Square go 9/9 with 255/40 17, Tirerack C3 are an inexpensive option
Staggered, keep the stock wheels and go 225/255

^This. With the narrower wheel you are pinching the tire more which can cause the sidewall to be less stiff. 17x9 is probably the best setup since you can run 255's and rotate them.
