Default No More S-02s.. No More S-03s..

All,

I have a set of beautiful Potenza S-03s on the S right now, but my rears are getting low. I stopped by the local Bridgestone/Firestone, and I was shocked to find out the S-03s are discountinued. This really sucks.

My fronts are still good, so what tires do I get now? I don't like the idea of downgrading to a model that's not comparable to the S-03s. I'm using:

245/45/16 on the rear.

Some advice would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers,
Rich

Yes its frustrating when they do that. You can research the tirerack web site, for replacements. And replace all four and sale the fronts. Or just keep looking for a set thats may be out there somewhere, to use until you wear out the fronts. BTW so-2 are still avalible.

There will always be a set of S02s/S03s in the For Sale forum. I got a set of AP1 wheels mounted with S02s that have like 90% tread left if you are interested.

So2's haven't been discontinued. So3's have been replaced by a better tire. It sucks for you since you only need rears.

Hankook Ventus Rs-2, definitely worth it for half the cost of S02s. Dry grip is almost s02 like, but with more feedback. Wet is better than s02s. Only negative after break-in is the softer sidewalls... a lil more pressure alleviated most of that. two thumbs up.
