If you plan to drive your car like a granny, just get the cheapest ones out there.

 

sumitomos are a lot better and still cheap tires. Check those out.

 

I am looking into getting these (actually they are called Roadstone tires here in Europe ) and would like some info on experience with these.

I do drive like a granny most of the times, but what I really like to know is if these tires are 'quite OK' in the rain, or downright dangerous (like the good old S-02 which were, in my opinion, downright dangerous in the rain )

Some of our customers like using the Nexen N3000's for drifting. They last forever and make really good smoke. They also don't grip at all, but are comfortable on the highway and do decently well in the rain. If you don't mind not gripping very much in your S, these tires will last for a long time.

About what directportjuicedS2k said, I honestly don't know how you could blow out all four Nexen N3000 tires at once unless you went into a parking lot backwards over spike strips. We had a newer M5 owner who just wanted to drift on some cheap tires and put these on the back of his car. Six hours of tire burning later, he came back happy as ever with some of the cords showing on the Nexens, but they were still holding pressure.

 

Can anyone shed some light on Nexen = Roadstone

have them on my rears right now. actually grips pretty well for me for a 245/40/17. I don't know about them blowing out... they have a pretty stiff sidewall. composition of the tire is a bit hard as well.

 

I have them on all four corners and I think they grip very well. There were corners that I know I could slide the rear out with the bridgestones and with my last set of kumhos that I can't do it with the Nexens...as for blowing all four out, I call BS.

 

We will see I'm gonna put them on all four wheels - can't beat the price really... recession you know

 

So.. I have Nexens on all four wheels and I have to admit - they're really nice... they grip really well... I was doing 240km/h on a slightly wet highway in Germany - not in the straight line, it was up and down the hill... happy
