Default Newbie Wanting 18" on 02 S2K

Forgive me if this is becoming redundant, but I have tons of questions. I have attempted a lot of research, but can not seem to get solid answers. So, I thought I would ask the experts. I am looking to add 18" wheels to my 2002 S2K (Just bought it this week with only 30k miles on it ). I have around $1000-1500 to spend on the tires and wheels. I saw the Motegi 18"x8 at Amazon for $130 a piece. I like the look of these wheels, but from what I can tell most people do 18"x8 in the rear and 18"x7 in the front or a variation where the front are an inch less. I can't seem to find 18"x7 front versions of these. Should I just go for the 18x8 all the way around, or hunt for another wheel set that has a 18x7 front version? Also, I have read numerous forums that explain 18" wheels cause rub. If I use this guide(found on another forum) as a tire purchasing tool, can I avoid having to do mods to the fender? I plan to use this car as my daily driver and want it to look good. Thanks for any help!

For the front:
6.5” to 7.5” wide wheel: 205 tires: +43 offset minimum
7.0” to 8.0” wide wheel: 215 tires: +48 offset minimum
7.0” to 8.0” wide wheel: 225 tires: +53 offset minimum
7.5” to 8.5” wide wheel: 235 tires: +58 offset minimum
7.5” to 8.5” wide wheel: 245 tires: +63 offset minimum

For the rear:
7.5” to 8.5” wide wheel: 235 tires: +40 offset minimum
7.5” to 9.0” wide wheel: 245 tires: +45 offset minimum
8.0” to 9.5” wide wheel: 255 tires: +50 offset minimum
8.5” to 9.5” wide wheel: 265 tires: +55 offset minimum
9.0” to 10.0” wide wheel: 275 tires: +60 offset minimum
9.0” to 10.0” wide wheel: 285 tires: +65 offset minimum

OK. I found the sticky after I read this and learned about the rubbing and staggering of wheels. I guess my main question is... where do I find staggered wheels?

you don't find em.. you just buy em staggered if available in your desired widths.. just remember that you shouldn't go less than stock widths.. as for the rubbing part.. the offsets is what determines that...not just because they're 18's...

Yes, offset is what determines rubbing. Are you saying you have $1000-1500 for wheels AND tires? Just an FYI...18" tires are a LOT more expensive than 17" ones...For example a 255/35/18 Star Spec was $100 MORE per tire than 255/40/17.

The specs of what you will need are listed in the chart. You just have to ask the company you are dealing with if they have anything available. I do not carry that wheel so I am not sure. We do carry a number of wheels that will work.
If I can help let me know.
