newbie question
i just bought a set of advan sa3r's that the Front Wheels 17x8 with +35 Offset, Rear Wheels 17x9 with +38 Offset
i have been reading the stickies and other post from different members but i just dont understand about the offsets and choosing tires. and the sticky about the my 04+ confused me even more. because i am running a 225 in front and a 255 in rear on my ap2v1's, but my wife's s2k has 215 in the front and 245 in the rear. this really really confusing for me. if anyone could help me figure out what tire size is actually needed for the V1's and the advan's it would be very appreciated.

OEM tire sizes for all AP2 Models Except the CR is 215/45/17 front 245/40/17 rear. The CR has 215/45/17 fronts and 255/40/17 rears. You just have a slightly wider front tire than OEm which isn't a big deal and will actually be the perfect size for your new front wheels.
As for the offsets the wheels you bought will fit however you are going to need to roll and possibly pull your fenders some and do the tab relocation in the rear. Post in your local subforum and see if there is anyone local that can do this for you or if there is a shop that they recommend.
As for tire sizes for your new wheels you should be able to use the same sizes you are have currently. They will fit fine as long as you do the mods I previously mentioned.
Hopefully this clears things up. Count yourself lucky as you bought wheels that can fit without major modifications or super stretched tires. Next time I would suggest asking the question before you buy the part though.

Stock tire sizes for the ap2 are 215/45/17 and 245/40/17. Most upgrade to 225/45/17 and 255/40/17 when they change tires because it increases the contact patch and fits without any modification. For those offsets I would recommend running 215/45/17 and 245/40/17 because they will require a front and rear fender roll, rear tab relocate and a little more negative camber to fit. The smaller tire will make it a little easier to fit but will still allow you to essentially run stock tire sizes.
