Newbie New tire question?
Was wondering if switching my stock 245/40/17's and 215/45/17's to 255/40/17's and 225/45/17's will present any rubbing problems or any other problems. My car is pretty much bone stock no real alterations? Please help? Has anyone on here had any experience with the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS/D3's also?

Emil,
I disagree. The F1 GS-D3's are one of the best rain tires period and one of the stickest performance tires. They are in the same class as Michelin PS2's, Bridgestone SO3's at a cheaper price.
If you are talking about the all-seasons, yeah they reek, but all no-season tires suck compared to summer tires.

As Emil said, at stock offsets and stock ride height they will fit fine. Keep in mind that you will be reducing your stagger significantly as the stock 215's are only a 6.7" treadwidth (around a true 205)

I have sold a lot of the 225/45R17 and 255/40R17 for the AP2 and they fit fine. The S03 is on sale at this time in those sizes and the GSD3 is an excellent tire but I do think there are better handling tires out there.
If I can help let me know.
