Default New Wheels..Tire-set up ?

Just got this set a couple days ago..Racing Heart J5 18x8.5 +42 offset all around Wrapped in Continental 225/40 all around. Dropped on Buddy club N+ dampers.Looking to run a staggered tire set-up Any suggestions ?

Old Set-up 17x8r (245/45) 17x7.5f (225/45) Considerably noticeable difference in accelration and power from this set. WILL go back to 17's pretty soon.

New Set RH j5 18x8.5+42 ( 225/40 all around )

looks good! you could do 245s in back but may need some more camber

Will 245/45 work? I was actually looking to grab some 255/40 on 18x8.5 +42 offset..will that work with a flare or a fender pull?

no 245/45 won't work (stock rears are 245/40/17)... 245/35 would (or 255/35). 45and 40 is too tall for 18" wheels in those widths. And it should work with a roll and some camber... or if you did a pull it would for sure.

225/40/18 is fine for the front

So 245/40 in the rear won't work? will sidewalk height make a significant difference in handling?
