At home waiting for me. Can't wait to see them tomorrow

Is that two sets of tires? Can you compare with whatever you are running now width wise? You have to compare mounted to mounted or unmounted to unmounted.

The comparison I have seen is to it take four unmounted tires and stack them(shipping material off) and measure height and do the same with the other brand. Also when you get them mounted you will be able to see stretch! What will you be taking off the car?

I have re11a on them now. I'll be able to put one by one and take measurements with say a level on top and measure from the ground. The edge of the tread pattern just rolls off the side. Real smooth looking because of the tread. They are really nice tires. However, they wont be mounted for a month

There are zero comparisons right now. This tire was only just released a few days ago...

I had my 17x9 TC-105Ns mounted on (front) 245/40/17s today. Wheel and tire is 39 lbs according to my scale. Not bad huh?

39lbs total - 16lbs Weds = 23lbs for the tire alone?

Thats actually quite light for a Bridgestone. Jst2878 earlier his 255/40/17 weighed about 24lbs. I remember the RE11 and RE11A being quite porky back in the days. RE11A 255/40/17 is 27lbs.

Yes both tires weighed 46.2 lbs according to my scale; shipping weight was 46 lbs. And as I indicated my tires are 245/40 not 255.
255s arrive Friday and their shipping weight is 48 lbs.

That's awesome to hear. The Bridgestone RE11A in both 245/40/17 and 255/40/17 weigh 27lbs. That's quite porky if you ask me. So it's nice to see the RE-71R being lighter than it's predecessor.
