Default Need wheel help! 17x8 / 17x9 questions

So I'm looking at buying a new set of wheels. I want Work CRs, 17x8 w/ a +44 in the front and 17x9 w/ a +47 in the rear. I'm planning on running a 225/45 tire in the front and a 255/40 tire in the rear. The car is not lowered but I am planning on buying a full S2000 CR suspension which I hear drops the car just slightly. What I want to make sure of is that I don't get any rubbing. I've heard that the rears will rub slightly at 70+mph on the freeway. Does anyone know if that's true? Should I drop the sidewall size down to a 40 in the front and a 35 in the rear? Or should I drop it to a 215 in the front and a 245 in the rear? What other wheels in that price range would be good? Thanks guys.

I suggest rolling your fenders. My rears are 17x8.5 +40 (when compared to your setup my rims stick out 1 mm) and I hit some dips on the interstate two weekends ago that put new grooves into my tires. I'm on a stock suspension, stock alignment and my rear tires are 245/40. If you don't mind the slightly stretched look you can go 215/45 & 245/40 instead of 225/45 & 255/40.

If you do not want any rubbing I would not buy those wheels. Or if you do I would go with the 215/45R17 and 245/40R17 and roll the fender lips. A little negative camber would help as well.
If I can help with the tires let me know.

Will I see any rubbing if I'm running SSR Type-Fs, 17x7.5 w/ +48 in the front and 17x9.5 w/ +65 in the rear? What tire size would I need for that? 215/45 and 265/40?

Your going to rub, 100%
I'd recommend rolling all 4 corners.

Vivid,

Depending on the tire you choose those could work with just some negative camber.
