Need tire advice
Ok heres my deal.
I have 17x8's all around. With 15mm spacers in the rear
I am buying the yokohama S. Drives.
I used to have the falken 452's in 235/45/R17
My question is should i stay with that tire size or should i rock 245/45's?
Thank you for your help/ comments!
,Alex

i have 245/45/17s on the rear and oem 215/45/17 on the front.
the rears are a bit thick for my liking but it was a good deal..
i can only imagine how thick a 235/45/17 sidewall would be!! ide say either go with the 245/45/17 or 255/40/17

I agree with ZDan, You can stagger the tires with the 17X8 wheels.
If I can help let me know.

What are your offsets? Camber? Rolled fenders?
Depending on the above, you could run 245/40-17's at all corners, but that would tend to make an already oversteery car somewhat more oversteery. Stiffer front sway bar would be a good idea.
Depending on what you want out of the car and other mods, 245/40-17's all around might be the way to go.
For a street car on stock suspension, I'd go with the staggered AP2 sizes: 215/45-17 front, 245/40-17 rear.

With all the mods, why are you going with a lesser Ultra-High Performance tire like the S.Drive? I would be looking in the Extreme Performance and Max Performance categories only.
Depending on spring rates, sway bar stiffnesses, and alignment, you're likely as not fine to go with 4x 245's, but I hate to recommend 245's all-around and then have them rub! If 235/45's did fit all around, you *might* be OK. With the rears, if you rub you could at least remove the spacers and be fine. Up front, I dunno...
Another size option you might consider would be 235/40-17's up front and 245/40-17 rears.
