Default need some help understanding what tires i should get

well after getting a flat this morning, i figure its time to replace all 4 corners d/t wear (the flat accelerated this decision haha). after reading through the forum, im still confused on what size i should go with. some say that if not using oem tires, that i should go with a different size? would someone be willing to explain this a little more and suggest what size i should really go with?

btw, im looking at the dunlop star spec.
my car is a daily driver, when the weather permits.

thanks!

Street? No really compelling reason other than you like the look of wider/taller tires. Track/AutoX? A bit more ultimate grip => quicker lap times. I would be surprised if 225/255 bought you more than a tenth or two over 215/245 (which can be huge if competing, but not that a big deal just doing HPDE).

For the street the up size just has a more aggressive stance. There are a lot of tire options available in the up size. If I can help let me know.

so 215 45 17 and 255 40 17 works fine on stock 2005 ap2 rims with no fit problems? and why 215 or why 225
