How about giving some size and compound specs on those tires?

It's not easy to find.

The 540S comes in the right sizes for the 17 inch wheels I want. But what is the compound?

I'll try to get a price on the Bridgestones. The tires I would really like to have are the Yokohama A048s, and those are available, but really expensive, and the compound is really soft, which means all of that money will be gone pretty quick.

Any info on the RE-55S or SR? Where does that Bridgestone fit in?

I got a good look at the Bridgestone RE55S. It's a side-specific tire, which looks to be a step up from the RE540. I don't want to get side-specific tires, so I'm not looking at these, any more.

Oh, man! I know I'm driving my importer crazy!!

I asked for the info on the RE540 and RE540S and RE540S-R.

Then he finds out that the RE540S tires are being phased out by the RE-550S.

I'm assuming that the RE550S is not the side specific RE55S.
