Need Advice on Offset, Will this look ok?
First off, im logged in under my buddys account so dont hold this against him.
Well im a new s2000 owner and am about to buy some wheels. I understand the concept of offsets but am wondering if it would look weird with even offsets.
EX: im buying a set of wheels that are 17x7.5 +48 and 17x8.5 +48, are the wheels going to look odd on the car or will it even be noticable.
I know you want a high offset on the front so it wont rub and same gos for the rear, but most s owners have diff offsets from front to rear.
Has anyone done this and if so, does it look alright? Pics? thanks.
PS: Ive searched and found nothing

with those sizes, you should go lower offset to make the wheels sit more flush. +48 is pretty safe for those wheel widths...right now i'm running semi-aggressive offsets:
Front: 17x8 +47
Rear: 17x9 +43
Since u have smaller widths..u could probably go with something like +45 front and +41 in rear and still clear after a drop (with minor fender roll)

I'd much rather have +48's all around, even with stock tire sizes, than 45F/41R.
To me, my AP1's rears (245/45-16s) look a little *too* flush with +45s, and I didn't dare try 225's in front with the 45s, but I might with 48s.
IMO, doesn't make sense to have skinnyish tires shoved way way outboard, with a ton of room between tire and suspension not utilized.
Not a look I'm a big fan of...
So, +1 on +48s all 'round.
