Nearly New Kumhos or 1 Season Left LM22 for Winter
Sitting on the fence on this decision. I live here in SE Kansas where we have some snow, sometimes ice storms . . . but mostly just bloody cold and ugly in the winter.
I have on my daily driver 2003 S2000 nearly new Kumho SPT's, which have lots of tread. Great DD tires so far. It has been down to 30F here and they seem to handle just fine although in the winter I do drive conservative.
I also have a set of mounted LM22's in the hangar which, though, have just one season left of tread on them. I do not remember the tread depth left, but they are not quite down to the wear bars. If memory serves they have been on 3 winter seasons so far.
Should I just drive the Kumho's since their tread depth is quite a bit more . . . or mount and use the LM22's for one last season?
