Default Narrowest tire on AP2V2 rims?

I need a set of snow tires for my car and I'm going to use my AP2V2s. As everyone knows the narrower the better for winter driving. How narrow can I go on the fronts? And the rears?

I was hoping to go 205 or 215 all around but I am guessing one or both of those widths are too narrow for the rear rims.

jim from tire rack suggest i run 225/45/17 all the way around. but i might just go oem size on the front so i'll be doing 215/45/17 in the front and 225/45/17 in the rear. read a for sale thread from someone on her and he said he had great success with that setup

Why is narrower better for snow?

It cuts through the snow better to make contact with the road. 215/45 and 225/45 sounds like a good combination. Maybe a 205/50 front if there is such a thing.

^ The same weight distributed to a more concentrated area. Thinner=better for snow driving.

I'll probably go 215f/225r I guess.

yup exactly the narrower the tire in the snow the better. it cuts through the snow much better. if anything, give jim a call and discuss it with him. also you have to chose the tire.
