Default Nail in tire

I was over looking my car today and discovered the slim end of a nail in my tire, the flat end is no where to be found. The car just has over 3k on it(stock RE050's). I have not removed it yet in fear of leaking air. If I were to get this patched, would it affect my performance in anyway? Any other suggestions?

depends. sometimes if the nail is too close to the sidewalls they wont patch it up. but if thats not the case you will be fine. theres nothing wrong with patching up a nail in a tire...
