What happened with this situation? I finally got my 18" Comps and I need to lower mine, not sure what springs I'm going with. Probably same size but different brand tires.

Hey NYB!

You know, it just stopped at some point, I don't know the alignment "settled", or some other external factor changed, or maybe it was just a tiny bur on the fender/tab somewhere that rubbed off.

About a year ago I went with some new tires, Hankook Ventus V112, same size as the original tires: 225/40-18 (f) 255/35-18 (r), and I've been in some situations with extreme suspension compression (the intracoastal bridge on JTB for local folks ... ) and zero rubbing.

How do u feel about your brand of springs? I have to lower my S2k, and looking to get rid of the wheel gap. Stiff/ rough riding isn't a problem for me. I was thinking Eibach Pro-kit springs but a 1 inch drop might not be enough. I will probably get the Koni Yellows one day.

I like the ASD Espelir springs quite a bit, perfect amount of drop, as in much lower vs. OEM. It looks "purposeful" since it doesn't require any kind of overdone alignment, stretched tires or whatnot. They're also a progressive spring, so it mirrors the OEM springs quite a bit, a touch stiffer, a good bit lower. Price is right, and matching them up with Konis is a great idea if you don't want to go full on coilover setup.

FWIW, I've heard some folks bottoming out (creating a little bouncy rebound) and some say aftermarket springs can cause premature failure on the OEM shocks.
