Default My 04 wheels and tires on MY 00-03?

Would they fit,offset,etc...?
How would be ride and handlimg compared to OEM S02s?
How much will they cost? (4 wheels and tires set)

They should fit fine. As to the rest, no clue.

How about the Bridgestone Potenza RE050 Tires? Are they any good? Do they hold a candle to our S02s?

You are rushing things. The car and tires are not even available. I have seen test done where they say the new car did perform better but no telling if it was the car or the tires.

The RE050's aren't new, but I believe the tread pattern/width is different. Just like the MY00-MY03 SO2 rears were tweaked from a normal SO2. Lots of these high performance tires seem to be adapted to specific cars.

I believe they are indeed new and as Jim has stated they are not even available for retail yet (I suspect only on new car purchases available right now until Feb.)

Another tidbit... I guess technically you are correct though apparently the tires have been in the hands of testers since at least April and the RE050's did well indeed albeit a different diameter tire than ours but same compound and tread design.....

Near the bottom of the page.
P.S. As for pricing I found them for $793.40 for a set of 4 delivered from Jim's Tirerack.com when they become available.

If anyone does manage to get their hands on, and fit the 04 17's to an 00-02 S2000, I'd love to hear from you. I think the new stock 17's are sweet. I'd be very interested in buying a set 2nd hand, or if Santa is particularly kind, new for Christmas!
