Mounting Question for JIM
Jim, I just ordered 4 S0'2s from you recently.
I have a question regarding mounting tires on wheels. I have the stock 16's.
Everytime I have ever taken my wheels to get mounted anywhere, the shops never seem to be able to do the job right, they always scratch the wheel. Mostly chiping off the gloss coat. I took my wheels today to a high end reputable shop in miami, and even they chipped the gloss coat. every wheel has a pencil eraser size chip.
Can tires be mounted without chipping the gloss coat of my wheels. Is that possible? Or am I asking for too much?

Is there a specific trick, or do i need to ask for them to remove the tire from the inside. This place I took it to said they used plastic inserts or something for their machine, but they still managed to chip the gloss coat. what gives?

It's all in training. They make plastic guards for people to use, but ours are new if that tells you anything....I honestly think they just aren't paying attention or were in a hurry.

Man, I am so ticked off, its so minor, but the point is that if they are going to perform a service, do it right.
It was not busy, i was the first person there, and they took their sweet old time, and not one person came to the shop while i was there.
I honestly think, since they weren't HRE's, VOLKS or IForged, they said screw it, this guy wont care, they are only stocks, and just did a sloppy job.
