Default More uneven front wear than usual?

I have an 03 with almost 17k, and I believe the front tires are original S02's but the PO might have had them off the car for a while. I thought I had a lot of wear left on them until I parked with the wheels turned out one day. I am planning on replacing them with OME S02's from TireRack.

I have seen others comment that the front tires on s2k's wear unevenly towards the inside edge, but I wanted to make sure that the wear I am seeing is within normal range This is the driver's front tire so inside wear is on the Left.

The pictures don't entirely do justice - the tires are almost bald on the inside, while on the outside there is a lot of tread. A good comparison is the short grooves, on the inside they almost lose their shape, on the outside they have a lot of tread.

So my question - is this within the normal wear range, or should I go for an alignment too, and if so what flavor of alignment?

Thanks,
JD

The negative camber will wear the tires more on the inside shoulder but it does improve the handling as well. I would say this is not uncommon.
