Default More off set questions. Is this right?

I'm looking at some wheels and the sales man told me I needed this for my 05.

17x7 offset 48 in the front and 17x8 offset 43 in the rear.

Everything I've read on this forum shows a larger number (smaller offset) for the rears?

Sorry if this is a really noob question,... but I know nothing about offsets (trying to learn)

Thanks in advance.

Don

Rears should be atleast +45 with a 8" wheel, but you could probably make it fit with more camber.

Stock offsets
+55 front
+65 rear

The smaller the number the farther it's going to stick out.
