Default Michelin Pilot Sport A/S as my winter tire?

Located in NJ, we don't get much snow but it does get cold. I recently purchased a set of AP1 16's for use in winter. I will not be driving this car in bad weather (unless I get caught), so only when it is not snowing. I will be doing some cold rainy driving, cold sunny driving..anything but snow. I was thinking about a high performance winter tire, but these may do almost as well. Say I got caught in a small snow storm with the Pilot Sport A/S..would I be screwed? Friends who have had them rave about them.

I would say just buy the winter tires. Even the all season looses 30% of its traction at 45 degrees. The tires like the Dunlop Winter Sport and the Blizzak LM's would be very good handling tires even in the dry.
I would say they would be a much better option for how you will be using them.
If I can help let me know.

1. I live in Indy, and was curious how long I could leave the Michelins on as the snows approached.
2. My first experience when there was 2-3 inches was enough to have me immediately put my winter tires/rims on the 2 winters ago; I needn't have bothered this past winter, but, who knew?
