Default max rear ap1 tire size

Trying to figure out what the widest rear tire size i can safely run on my stock ap1 rims is for max traction. Note the tires are going to be drag radials and also fenders will be rolled…

Well if your doing drag radials then obviously handling isn't important to you, its all about strait line/drag. So id say your best option is 255/45/16. If you want more gear then up it to a 255/50. Run as little camber you can dial in the rear for the most contact patch, you can use air pressure to dial in the best squat.

Its all fundamental drag principals, regardless of the car. But on the stock 7.5" 16" wheels I think your limited to 255.

I am not sure of any tires ina 255/45R16. The issue with the 255/50R16 is they are over 1" taller than stock so they will change the gear ratio. The best that I have seen in the 16" is a 245/45R16. If I can help let me know.
