Default lugnuts

Hey everyone,

i know that stock lug nuts are acorn shaped at the seat and that aftermarket are conical, but why is it that we shouldnt use aftermarket on stock wheels??? is ie because the seat on the wheel is shaped differently than a stock wheel requiring a acorn lug?

The OEM wheels on our cars is the reason we need these radius/ball seat lug nuts. If you use the tapered/conical lugs on our cars they can unscrew themselves while your driving since they didnt "seat" correctly on our wheels.

You CAN use after market lugnuts, they just have to be the right style (radiused, not conical).

Yeah I wish there were a more variety for our wheels but theres not (other than black CR or NSX lugs). I custom powdercoated the faces of mine black chrome and look awesome. I can do them any color I want. I just sold a set a couple days ago on here.

Do the CR Lugs come in black and if so will they work with AP2V1 OEM rims? I would really love some black lugs but am having trouble finding one applicable to the stock rims I have (which I really like).

Anyone know of any aftermarket lugs that work with the OEM rims? I could go for some black or red lugs to go with my NFR with stock AP2V1s.

Found this, seems like a great deal if they work.

Thanks!

How much do you charge and how well do they hold up, especially when putting them on the rim and torquing them?

All CR lugs and NSX lugs have the ball/radius seat, so they will fit ANY oem s2000 rims., and yes they are black. I powdercoated the lugs myself, and cant really offer a service on here since you have to be a vendor to do that. They have held up on my car since I have had them with no signs of chipping. I didnt do the whole lugs, I just did the faces of them. Powdercoat will peel under torque, so thats why I did that. When on, you cant even tell the whole things arent done. They look awesome with a 3D look when you look at them really close! I even sold a set a while back to a guy, and did a set for my s2k!
