Everyone seems so wrapped up about weight. I understand not throwing a set of chromey Lowenharts on an S2000, but has there ever been some kind of study ...studying how measurable impact a lighter wheel has on performance?

Just ask the folks on this board who auto-x and track their S2ks, some of them went with lighter wheels, brake kits, tires etc. and it cuts down their lap times. This is a very extreme mod since the cost doesn't really justify the means. Your spending around $6k on just wheels, brake kit, tires, coilovers and such but many people are dedicated to reducing weight for performance gains instead of going FI which has its own separate positive and negative aspects.

While a supercharger will only help you go faster, the reduction of unsprung weight will not only make your car faster but it will handle better, brake better and improve performance all across the board.

The Regamaster Evo in 16" has 10mm better offset up front than the Spoon. I have those Evo wheels in gunmetal and really like them.

Anyone have any pics of the Regamaster Evo's? Also, where can I order them from?

From what I know Spoon gets their wheels from Regamaster, spoon tho has only 1 color FLAT black specifically made for them by regamaster so if u want flat black go with Spoon. Regamaster makes the same wheels (weight, size, plus more offsets for diff cars) in diff colors like gunmetal, white, and gray.

I have 17x7 gunmetal ones on my 99 Civic si 17x7, I love them and they are great! I found them through the US Distributor and then they gave me the number to their closest retailer. I think their website is www.phdistributing.com
they have a bunch of performance parts for both japanese and european applications.
Good Luck!
