Default Let's talk extended lug nuts?

I am looking to add some EXTENDED lug nuts to my wheels. One is closed end which will provide more aesthetic look.

The other will have open ended lugs, spline drive? with less aesthetic appeal?

Now it is my understanding extended lug nuts are easy to remove by thieves(and yes I know if a thief wants a wheel he will take it no matter the lug) with just some vice grips?

Would any EXTENDED lug nut out on the market be "vice grip" proof? or more so? Or just fux it and go with the closed ones for better look?

Opinions?

thanks guys.

p.s. I know Racing composite lugs come with one locking lug on each wheel..but still being extended would it even matter? A vice grip would still overcome it, no?

SIDE QUESTION: will volk re30 wheels accomodate a 19mm deep socket to install those lugs? thanks

Get the muteki's not drag. Drag makes junkly products and I have never heard of sick speed and the mutekis are only alittle more expensive and you can buy matching locks. Contact evasive motorsports they are a vendor on here.

Like I said hit up evasive and they can probably answer your question about what worked on the wheels you have also since they carry volk wheels.

Aluminum is also weaker and much easier to mess up the lugs (tire shops using an air gun). But its your call. You want real weight sayings get the full titanium ones from Evasive.

Ive taken chemistry...aluminum can be as or stronger than steel in circumstances and a neo chrome finish is a lasting finish...id understand with red or blue but neo chrome holds its finish well..im just wondering on the vice grips and thieves and such..and i dont want to look like a chariot lol

I went with the closed ended sickspeed ones because I dont want any rust and problems later down the road if the nuts get seized on threads..happens quite a bit to people with open ended I hear eek

I got a set of those as well as some mcgards with their own lock so I've got some spline drives, their locks and these piaas too.I'm hoping if potential thieves see three different patterns, they'll just figure it's not worth the effort and leave me alone

Destroy them as far as the finish or cracking them?
