chuckie,

did you put 18x8 in the front AND back?

or are they 18x8 F and 18x9 R?

I bought them off a previous s2000 owner. I believe they are 18 x 8 all round.

chuckie,

you WILL have handling issues if the the front and rear offsets are the same.

the car came with a staggered setup and you've have eliminated that.

be careful...

Also a 265/35R18 requires an 18X9 wheel to fit correctly. I would not want a tire on my car stretched to fit.

You guys could be right. I just bought the wheels on the knowledge they were ordered with the right offset for the S2000. There is no scrubbing and they are definately 265's on the rear. Handling seems fine so far in the dry, haven't really pushed it in the wet.
What sort of handling problems should i be experiencing?

the back end will have a tendency to come around on you - all the time.

Remember the thread started talking about +45 F and R Regamasters (spoons) not the works. Not sure what offsets you are running there, but that has A LOT to do w/ rubbing; as much a factor in the equation as overall width.

Doing the tire/wheel swap this weekend (12/22) . . . so stay tuned. Also had the Mugen CO's shock dyno'd. If any interest I'll post the curves. The guy was able to get them pretty close (and of course the car is very well balanced anyway.

Good luck Jahwerx! Wheels on these things make all the difference especially in the looks dept.

I musnt be driving my car hard enuff, because it definately hasnt stepped out at the rear anymore than it would standard. Have to disagree with you there TKG 26.

By the wasy the wheels are Work VS.

Oh I forgot to mention that I lowered the car 1 inch as well. That is why I was so impressed that there was no scrubbing. I will get some photos this weekend.

chuckie, that's great that you don't get any rubbing...

the reason why you don't is probably because your offsets in the rear are the same as the front - you've changed the "track" of the car.

take a pic of the back of the car when you get a chance and post it - you'll get some opinions and less speculation.

good luck.

regards,
