Bear in mind the tread width of the S0-2 was measured based on a 7-inch wheel. Because Honda uses a 7.5-inch wheel, the tread width increases to 8.7-inches, not 8.5. If the other manufacturers used a measuring width of 7-inches on their 225/50/16, their tread width as well will increase by 5mm. If the measured wheel was an inch LARGER than Honda uses, the tread width would decrease by 5mm for every half inch.

I know this is not one of your tires listed, but the BFG KDW's are very nice tires and ones to look at. I don't think that they grip as good as the SO2's, but I was very happy with their performance. This weekend we ran our BFG's at Texas World Speedway. We had Kumho Victor Racers with us, but didn't use because of the conditions. For most of the weekend it was raining and cold (about 40 degs), which made for a slick track. To give you an understanding of how slick it was, on Saturday, they have 30 cars go off the track. The BFG's gave great feedback, and would let you know before they would lose their grip, very controllable. During the last two runs on Sunday, nice and dry, the tires did great.
Just some information for you.

Jim....tell me if this set up sounds ok.....
17" Wheel....
Rear: 245/40/17
Front: 225/45/17
Does this seem the correct stagger?
Is there ANY possibility at all that different wheels could cause a differential to go bad?
The wheels do stick out a bit from the body...but very minimal....1-2 mm

My personal experience... I've had the Kumho's on my car for the past 4 weeks and did not care for them at all.. I just got my EVS's put on today and noticed a pretty big difference... before having them mounted, I noticed how the tread was more "rounded" at the corners compared to the kumhos where it's walls were "sharp"...I would take turns w/ the kumhos and all it did was squeal the whole time, but not w/ the EVS's... With 50 miles on them so far, I think the EVS's will be a better tire overall.
