Default Kumho Ecsta MX tire sizing help

hey guys. after extensive searching i couldn't find a conclusive result, but believe that the proper sizes for this tire brand for the front are 205/55/16 and 245/50/16 for the rear. does this sound right? tire rack says 225 in the rear, but we know about the s-02 sizing issue. any feedback would be appreciated! thanks in advance.

Ecsta MX doesn't come in the right sizes for the OEM AP1 wheels. If you have a bigger front sway you can probably get away with the 205/225 setup. Some folks do it anyway, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Actually, I believe the Ecsta MXs have the correct rear tire size to replace S02s. According to the specs on tirerack, S02s have a rear section width of 9.2" and the MXs have a 9.3" (though the tread width is not posted for the MXs). So at least for the 225/50/R16 Kumho MXs the size difference between the OE S02s is minimal.

The MX would have 205/55R16 and 225/50R16. They do not make the 245/45R16 in the MX. The problem is not the section width it is the contact patch. While the MX would be narrower than the S02 that came on the car it would be the most similar performance for a lot less money.
If I can help just let me know.
