I ended up doing more research and am now going with the 295 35 17s with 17x10 +72 with 10mm spacer for rear with fender rolling and 17x10 + 52 for front with fender rolling 295 on all 4.

luckily not bringing this thread to far back from the dead but I have read that you can fit a 295/40/17, I would personally go with the 295/35/17 with the 6ulr 17x10 +52mm offset with fender flares for the rear and major fender rolling in the front.... that was my plan to go with and just doing a little more research on it now so if any input let me know. thanks
295/40 would be a tall and heavy ass tire, not very functional for road course, maybe drag if you needed to drastically lengthen your gearing. 295/35 is what I run and is the same overall height as a 255/40 (25")
With a 10" +52 wheel you would definitely need to run over fenders. Those over fenders would need to stick out and clear a minimum of 35mm and that's at a minimum of -3 camber as a consideration. Being on a 10" rim means the tire will be pinched a bit as well, so I would recommend an additional 10mm outer clearance, so 45mm total. Depending on how wide a functional over fender you can get, you might be better off running a less aggressive offset, like the +72 they offer in that same wheel.
Hope this helps.

Nice work. I thought this should be a good tire combo. Did you also widen the rims to the outside or you just widen it to the inside and then add a spacer to give it more space in between the inner side of the rim and the shock? But judging the pics it looks that it's just about a +38 offset RPF1 so they must have widen it to the inside and then add a spacer? So a 6URL 17x10 +72 should be able to handle this tire but would require a good amount of camber and probably a slightly flared but definitely a shaved rear fenders?
Definitely a worth it upgrade ain't it?

No spacer, just added 2" to the inside. Yes it started out as a +38/9.5". Actually had to bang the inner well a bit to give me a couple extra mm becuase the tire would hit a little bit under full compression, and though it wasn't completely necessary, I wanted the wheel/tire to be completely clear, so no rubbing at all. The tire/wheel does completely fill the fender opening. You can see there is about 1mm on the outside, and under full comp there is 1mm clearance on the inside. If I ran a rim any narrower then what I have, the tire would rub on the outside, and likely on the inside becuase the profile of the tire would not flow with the wheel path as it compresses.
