Default Just Ordered Roja's!

Hey guys I just purchased the roja formula 7 wheels! They should be here in about a week. I was thinking thinking that I could go 225/40/18 in the front and 275/35/18 in the rear. I currently have tein s-techs and was wondering if there would be any rubbing issues. Also what would be the widest I could go in the rear before having any problems. Here are the specs.. All help is appreciated.

Roja Formula 7 (gunmetal with polished lip)
18x7 Front ET 42mm
18x9 Rear ET 60mm

Are you sure those are the offsets? He doesn't show anything near that offset on his discontinued wheel page

That offset in the front will rub with a 225. Even a 48 offset with a 225 tire will sometimes rub. You might need to stick to a 205 in the front or add some camber and roll the fender. And considering that, you might not want to use something so wide in the rear, which might be better anyway because 275 might rub as well but I'll let the others with really wide rear tires chime in on that one. Cheers.

Are these the ones that were up on eBay? Think I remember reading that they were a custom offset, so that might explain why they're not showing on Ubetit's link.

You'll probably want a max of 255 on the rear, and I'm not sure about 225 on the front...might be stretching it as that offset is close to the limit for a 7" front wheel.

Yea I bought the rims off ebay. Ok so what is the widest tire I can get on these rims before rubbing issues occur. Would 215/40/18 work for the front? And 265/35/18 for the rears? bump.bump. for more help. thanks
IMO, try to keep the difference between front and rear as close to factory stagger as possible. Make the front tire too small, and you'll run in to understeer problems. For a 7" rim up front, a 225 tire is fine, just be minded you may rub. I'd PERSONALLY go 225 front and 255 rear ( my setup ). SLIGHTLY more understeer than stock, but not THAT noticable, and a 245 would DEFINATLEY be too small for a 9" rim.

someone correct me if im wrong.

I have 265 rears on my car with a 17x9 +67 I could go to a 275 pretty easily but i'm not dropped. You may me able to do 265 but 255 dropped ought to be real safe.

Already answered, no need to bump. The front will rub with a 225.
