Just installed Hankook Ventus V12 Evo Tires on AP1
and have to say I am initially very pleased. They scored high in Car and Driver test (2nd Place) as well as another big tire test but
coming from mismatched Bridgestone Potenza/Sumitomo, I am very happy with road feel especially for regular driving. They are super smooth and much more quiet than the Bridgestone OEMs for sure. Those felt like bricks compared to these Hankooks.
They are quite planted and they are a little less touchy... maybe due to softer sidewall, but I will take that trade off. Car and Driver called them "deceptively quick" which I agree because they smooth out road, but perform when pushed. Overall, a great tire and I buying them online saved me some nice $$$$$$$$$$$$$

I must be the only one who extremely dislikes these, everyone else seems to very pleased with them. I had them on my ap2v1's for half a year then immediately made the switch to an extreme summer performance tire.

Ill mirror this statement. I am running Z2's now and its almost night and day. Granted I added almost 60mm of tire up front as well

I "liked" them, but I didnt feel they were amazing. For whatever reason, they felt a bit loose for my taste. Great for casual driving, but not for anything intense.
They were definitely good for the price though, after rebates and price matching, etc, I got a set of 4 on my AP1 for about $320 mounted.

I respect individual opinions, but it is very hard to find a professional review that doesn't like these tires. And I am not talking magazines that blow smoke up your a$$ cuz of big advertising dollars because Hankook isn't exactly a big seller. And not for nothing, I'd say the Car and Driver test drivers are far more skilled than most people.
They are known to be excellent all around tires for 99% of the driving that our cars see. All I can say is that there is no performance penalty under real world conditions and they are quiet down the notorious rough ride our cars are known for....
Braking and wet weather traction also earn top marks for this tire. Factor in price and performance and these are clear winners.
