Just bought 18" Volk GT-Ns. Need to know what tires will fit.
As the title states, I can't seem to figure out what tires will fit with this setup.
Specs:
My car is dropped 1.4" by KG/MM springs.
The Volks are 18"x 7.5" front and 18" x 8.0" rear
I was looking for 225/40zr18 front and 245/35zr18 rear.
The problem is the only company that can be found to make that size is Perrelli, but I didn't want to spend $850 for 4 tires.
My question is this: Can I fit a 255/35zr18 or 255/30zr18 out back and not rub?
There seems to be more companies making this size tire. I had thought of going with a 245/40zr18 but my shop told me I would rub for certain.
Anyone with some incite into this situation would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

You would need at least an 18X8.5 wheel for the 255/35R18. With the wheels you have the sizes you mention are the best.
Take a look at the new Goodyear GSD3 at 171.00 front and 173.00 rear. In our test they were very good handling in both wet and dry.
If I can help let me know.
Thank you

I am using Volk Racing GT-7 18 X 8.0 in the rear with a 30 mm (1.25 in) drop. I put Kumho Ecsta Supra 255/35/18 on them and have no rubbing issues. But my car is a tad bit higher than yours. It's obvious that Jim knows his stuff so perhaps the 245/35 tires are better for you.

I would love to put a set of Ecstas on my car. There a great bash'um and trash'um tire, but I just don't want to take the chance of them rubbing. I had a set of 18"s for last season that rubbed and its a miserable summer when your ass clenches everytime you see a rip in the road.
