Default Jline wheels

Hey everyone I was wondering if anyone has heard of this company and if they know if there wheels are any good? I have been looking at them for a while and they seem real high quality 3 piece rims but i havn't seen too many people with them. If anyone has pics of the wheels on cars as well that would be awesome as well.
thanks

ya i saw them on there, but it was hard to tell, it seemed like the offsets were all wrong. i guess i just want to know if they are as nice as volk, kineses, hre etc.

JLine is a new wheel company. They likely contract out their manufacturing, so there's a high chance that their wheels are made in the same facilities such as IForged and other newer/more entry level high-end brands. I've been looking into them a bit also, especially since their 2pc offerings are much lower priced than their competitors. I'd put them as a solid IForged competitor, that is to say - nice looking wheels for the street. I would highly question the engineering, stress analysis, and testing that any of their wheels and designs went thru, but that only really matters if you plan to thrash them at the track often. For a street wheel, they should be fine. They're lower priced than IForged (which I also question the strength and R&D of their designs) becuz JLine is newer and needs to establish their brand first, whereas IForged has been around longer. I would NOT put IForged or JLine in the league of Kinesis or Fikse, but both are still a lower priced option for street use.

Riley,
I know you're in the wheel industry, so can you provide more info into the quality or R&D of Jline wheels? As I mentioned above, I highly doubt much R&D, testing, or even simulations went into these, but I'm only making inferences. A friend of mine is looking into JLines, and tho he'd be using them mostly as a street wheel, I always prefer an over-engineered product than one that is marginal to meet the needs.
Also, by the "same CNC machine", do you mean they all use the same manufacturing house? Thanks.

well i dont live in cali but ive spoken to people from each facility

what happens w/ wheels is that one main company MAKES all the hoops (lips)

they make 1 peice hoops.. (solid barrel and they simply cut it to the width you want and weld the fronts on.. (2 peice wheels)
hoop=one piece and disk=second piece

then theirs 2 peice hoops.. joined by bolts*
the hoops come in different sizes front and different sizes rear..
u just join up which ones u want to create disired "offset" (knowing that the offset is created by your disk****)

anywho...

Jline creates 2 and 3 peice wheels... with both "reverse" flat lip (as we normally think of a lip** and Regular stepped lips, which i LOVE but its basically using the back for the front.. etc

i wont go into extreme details but*

the hoops* (lips) for iforged/dpe/dtm/jline are all the same WHEREAS if you hit a hole in road their all gonna "bend" the same.. this is what most people think of as a strong rim... but.. the "inners" disks.. are what is CNC'd (cut via a machine guided by computer) out of 6061T6 forged Alum, and is then bolted/welded into the hoops

ina nut shell.. when it comes to hitting a hole in the road..kind of "strenght" their all pretty much the same (variables being larger lips=weaker)

but when it comes to "the weight of the car pushing against the disk while applying a force(power=gas pedal) and them being "strong"

****as we saw the pics of the Kinesis and HRE wheels that broke**

each wheel is different.. given.. they are all cut from the same type of material the individual characteristics depend on the design of the wheel

when i make a wheel i put it into computer and "apply" forces and it shows me weak points but what it all boils down to... is that u cant really say one is stronger

http://www.jlinewheels.com/models.html

if i were to sit and look at the wheels..

id personally say of their lineup the strongest wheels would be 1st the 3 peice wheels..
and to be "design specific" the only ones i feel would be "weaker" would be 10rl2 and 10rl3 since the spokes are very thin and narrow.. giving it not so much durability (the only time this needs to even be considered is times of "autox" wher the wheel is sustained to EXTREME heat and EXTREME forces at the same time..

maybe im going off topic but if u have a specific question.. and not something so "broad" PM me and ill get into it with you..

ina nut shell not many people do thorough R&D on wheels.. basically its "design"....apply forces on computer.....make the weak points more rounded to give more structural integrity and then.. cut them..more than often looks is more important on the list than functionality

wow, thats pretty informative. what kind of wheels do you make riley? Too bad the ones i like from jline are the ones you think is kinda of weak lol. i will have to do some more research on them. But i am just figuring out if the wheel is worth the price is all.
