Jim (Tirerack) - can we get EMT or extended mobility tires on the S?
I just had a tire blow out on a major highway and nothing is more annoying than changing a tire on the shoulder of a busy highway. Lucky for me it was daytime and sunny. As I was assessing the damage I thought of ways I could avoid this task, that's when I remembered about the Vettes. So my real question is can we preserve the staggered setup for the S2000? And is there a variety of manufacturers for this style of tire? I realize they won't be as grippy as the S0-2s, S0-3s, and so on but just the peace of mind of being able to drive home safely with zero pressure in one or more tires is something I'll be happy with.

They are no run flat tires for the car but you can avoid this situation by running a low pressure monitor in the wheels. This will warn you that you are loosing air pressure before the tire blows out.
We carry the Smart Tire system for 229.00
If I can help let me know.

Thanks Jim. I guess if I were to use whatever is available I wouldn't get close to the OE diameter. I've seen Dunlop carries the SP Sport 01 DSST in these sizes 205/40WR18, 245/40WR18 and SP 9000 DSST in 205/45VR17, 235/45WR17, and 245/45WR17. And Goodyear has 225/45VR17 which I thought of using for the front; now I was considering mixing tire brands to come up with a set. I was wondering if these could be used?
