Default Jim at Tire Rack, any thoughts?

Jim -

Since I received no response before I thought I'd try this again.

As with many others who read this forum, I search for the holy grail of tires. As I live in the midwest and the S2000 is a daily driver, the S-02's are out as a replacement tire. The S-03's were the next choice but I understand that they are not good when the temperature drops below 40 degrees (or something). I have good winter tires for the actual snowy times, I need some tires that will get me through the other 75% of the time. They should have decent dry traction, good wet traction, and be able to withstand outside temperatures of 20-degrees or so through the first part of November. The current S-02's are basically shot and need to go. I'm thinking that I might just put on the winter tires now as I trust them more than the S-02's due to temperature, rain, etc.

How about the RE750's or the RE940's? The car is not tracked and seldom approachs its performance limits (wife drives car about half the time). I am not necessarily sold on all-season tires but will consider them if they have some performance characteristics. I have read various posts on tire recommendations but few discuss the weather temperature as well as the rain. I am not overly concerned with long tire life as much as the other 3 items mentioned above. Any thoughts?

Thanks for all your help!
