Default jim/others - will 205's fit on an 8" wide wheel??????

i have 18x8 SSR GT1's on the front with 225/40/18's and i was wondering if i could go to a 205/45/18.

let's hear some thoughts.......especially as it may pertain to changing the characteristics of the car......

not a good idea... but you should really check with the manufacturer spec of the tire itself. But typically 205's are not good on 8".

TKG 26,

I have a fact that will end your decision quickly. 205/45/18 is a size that does not exist!

Best you could do is go 215/40/18 bud...but that is a rare size.

215/40/18 is not a rare size. Click here:

For diameter sizing, use this formula:
215 x 40% / 25.52 (this will give you sidewall measurement) x 2 + 18 = diameter of tire. In this case, expect 24.7 inches.

Why not just stick to the proper fitment? (225/40-18)
