Jim can I get your opinion?

Jim can I get your opinion?
Up until now i've been running the stock RE050 tires on my 2005. I was down to 30% on the rears, and approximately 40 - 50% in the fronts.
My left rear went flat yesterday and had to be replaced. It was a decision that needed to be made quickly, and now i'm running 2 Pilot Sport A/S (not the PLUS version) on the rears with 90% treadlife.
Have I put myself in a bad situation? Driving around so far, everything seems okay. I rarely push the car to any kind of limit. It's used for driving around town, and occasonially a spirited drive on a twisty road.
Appreciate your advice.

Question # 2
If I was able to get my hands on a pair of Pilot Sport A/S for the front, but they are 225/45/17 mounted on my stock rims? Is that a better alternative? Good or bad?
Appreciate your help.

With the RE050 front and Pilot AS rear you have a potentially dangerous situation. In the dry warm weather the front tires are going to grip a lot better and cause the car to over steer in an emergency situation. It would be hard to keep the rear planted.
