Hi Jim...

How do i purchase centering rings, hubcentric rings, whatever they are called (not center caps) but the thing to line up the wheel/hub prior to installation?

i will be purchasing a set of:

Enkei RPF1 in sizes

17x7.5 +48 (front)
and
17x9 +45 (rear)

for a 2008 s2000. (AP2).

Usually the wheel manufacturer provides them with the wheels. I know Volk does and I bet Tire Rack has them. If they don't, post back up and I'll give you another suggestion.

Go to your local America's Tire or any tire shop. They should have hubcentric rings for around $20 MAX.
