They are all relatively slow, with very little actual performance difference.
However, for the fastest ones you may want to go with a "Truck Air" units of which there are many on the market (Wal-Mart, Kmart, etc.)

Don't get one that's too powerful, you'll blow the 10A fuse.
The trickest ones these days are battery powered - at least as fast as the plug in type, but no messy cords, except to charge or when the battery is low.
I just use my cheapo ten-year old Kragen deal...it's never let me down...

Yeah, the rechargeable ones are pretty good, but they are no faster and require recharging, and as some cannot run directly off a 12V source (meaning you can't use it while you charge it) you could get stuck.
I'm telling you...the $10 ones work just as good as the $30 ones.
