Default If u own 17s, chime in and post pics of your tires

I was originally gonna go with 17 x 7.5 17 x 8.5 with 215/45 245/40 tires, but the guy told me to go with a 9" rear.

I guess the ideal setup for this combo would be 225/45 255/40??

Now, i dont know what size tires to go with. I dont want a real thick side wall to where they make the 17s look small.

Please post pics of your setup and why I should go with that size.

HELP!

yea, i was going with that setup, but the guy said 17 x 9 would fit better. I dont think 245/40s on a 9" wide wheel would be good.

You should be worried more about offsets than wheel width. The above is definitely not recommended.

To keep your speedo in check, you'll want to stay close to the oem overall tire diameter: ~ 25.0". "Looks" should not take precedence of "function."

^^ holy crap you're running 235s on a 9 inch wheel? And I thought the 245/45/17s on the 17x9s on my VR4 were looking pretty stretched thin....
