About a year ago my rear OEM had about 17,000 (Didn't drive them too hard) but were due to be replaced in 2 weeks. Heavy rain, hydroplane and the right rear became a close friend of the guard rail. I replaced both front and back with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S. Front 205/55/ZR16 90Y and rear with 225/50 ZR16 92Y. Any non technical comments on if this was a good choise?

According to the Technical FAQ on this site, the OE S02 are wider than what stated in the 225/50 spec. So, if you put on another brand or model, you should really order 245/45 for the rear.
I am having a fight with my dealer right now because they decided to change the tires to S03 and used 225/50 instead of 245/45. I refused to take delivery on the car and I am waiting for them to correct the size. They think I am making a big fuss out of nothing.
I posted a message earlier to see what other people thinks.
I have driven Michelin Pilot Sport on the Barber Motorsport Track (although not in a S2000). The tires are fine in dry or do very good in rain. They are not as sticky as S03 in dry and make more noises at limit. I liked the audible feedback from the tires. The S03s are quiet even at limits.
