Default I need rear tires...

My MY'00 needs new rear tires. I am wondering if I should go wider than stock? How far can I go, and will it hurt accelleration? I'd like a decent summer sport tire so can anyone reccommend a good tire, and possibly a good price from a particular site? Thanks

Love, Justin

It depends on what tire you want to go with. I would recommend the 245/45R16 for the rear if you choose a tire other than the OE tire. If you are looking at a good tire at a good price take a look at the new Fuzion ZRI in 245/45R16 rear and 225/50R16 front. They are not as good as the S02 for dry handling but will be a little better in the wet and they should last longer. They are also quite a bit less money.
If I can help let me know.

thanks a lot for the help, although they are directional. What do I do about rotating them since the front are a different size? Do people just have the tires taken off and put on the opposite side wheel when they need them rotated if they have directional tires?

Tires look great though, I'll probably order them.

I thought 225 in the front had a large crowning effect that actually caused a decreased contact patch?
