you could always have 2 sets of tires. one for summer. one for winter.

the thing is most ppl drive on the street, and on the street it can't really be driven hard enough to make much difference.

That is a great point! We get 2" of snow and the place shuts down! I just want to be able to go get my milk and bread! And maybe some donuts! Thanks everyone for the great advice!

yes, they are only great when they are warmed up, if not, they are not what you would expect. great in the rain. pretty good in snow and ice. yes, i drove in ice and snow, it was about 30 miles from work to home. no twitch if you drive normal. again works great in dry ONLY if they are warmed up.[B]

I just got a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Plus tires. They have 500 AA A and a 45 thousand mile warranty. They are great Allseason tires.

I've got Toyo Proxes 4's on my 280ZXT, and they'r ea decent performer in the dry, great in the wet, and I managed a 30 mile drive in that snow that raleigh/fayetteville got last january. They get my vote for all seasons.

Thumbs up for this. Faster than most cheap summer tires, and really good in the rain and light snow.
