I just got Bridgestone Potenza S-03 Pole positions (same size as stock S-02's rear)

Am I going to have issues, since I still have the stock S-02's up front (they still have like 50% tread life left)? I wanted to go with the S-03's, cause they grip great and wear longer, but Buddy from the tire rack said that it was not a good idea to mix diff tires on the S2K.
We agreed that I should prolly stick with the S-02's, but they just sent me the S-03's by mistake!!
So what do I do? Should I have Tire Rack send me the S-02's and return the S-03's, or should I just keep the S0-3's?
btw...I got the 225/50/16...which I hear is not good....I was always wondering why my wife's 225's looked wider than the 225's on my S4.
Thanks

Scott - Buddy's right. In general it's not a good idea to mix tire types on your car due to handling issues. This is especially true if you use the 225/50/16 SO3 rears instead of the recommended 245/45/16 size. They will exacerbate any oversteer tendencies that you now experience. At the very least, I would exchange the ones that you have for the slightly wider ones. That way, even though the fronts will be a little grippier than the rears, they will be closer than the setup you now have. There ARE people on this board that have done just what you propose. Any feedback?
TireRack has an excellent reputation for customer service, so exchanging tires that were sent by mistake should be straightforward. This is another reason to use our illustrious moderator Jim for all of your S2000 tire purchases - he knows these details .

Joshua, thanks for the plug and you are correct we will take the tires back no problem. I do think you should have bought the 245/45R16 if you go with the S03. Give your salesman a call and he will take care of the return.
If I cna help in the future let me know.
Thank you
