They were included with my Volk rims.

is there a big difference between 70.1 or 70.4??

I'm looking for rings to put the s2000 front wheels on my prelude.

My prelude is 64.1 and so I know that should be my innner diameter of the ring, but I dont know if i should get 70, 70.1, or 70.4 for the outter diameter?

Funny this should come up. The front rings that TireRack sent me (twice) for my Volk rims did not fit. Theye were labeled 73.1-70.1, which IS the correct size. But the actual ID was 69.5mm. Finally Jim sent me a pair of 73.1-70.3, which were exactly 70.1 on the inside.

I don't know why these rings were undersized...maybe mislabeled by the manufacturer. Of course I could probably live without the front rings with no adverse effects just by carefully mounting the wheels.

yea i hear ya.

i'm putting the front wheels (70.1) from the s2000 on my prelude (64.1) so theres a pretty decent difference there that I dont want to have especially since i'll be running 15mm H&R spacers

I have SSR wheels on my car and I am currently not using hub rings. Is this a problem?
I hand tightened all the lugs first and then in a star pattern with a torque wrench.
There is no vibration from the wheels.
Am I asking for trouble without rings?

if you're not getting any vibration, i'm pretty sure you'll be ok.

the only reason i'm so like intent on getting it is becuse i'm using wheel spacers and extended lug nuts on my prelude. which means that the weight of the wheel is all on the lug nuts and not very much on the hub.

since you're not using spacers i think you'll be ok. someone else chime in here and correct me if i'm wrong.

could you please update the pics in the first post? They no longer work. I pretty much understand the importance of the rings and since I've had aftermarket wheels installed on my cars I also had to have custom center rings machined from aluminium for them, but it would still be nice to see the pictures. Especially since I would love to get the Volks ce28n in future for AP1 and would be nice to see in detail.

Very informative thread!

I just ordered a set from Science of Speed:

Maybe I should have bought some in a polycarbonate material.
