Default HRE Wheels

Hi,

I am doing some research on some HRE's for potential future wheels. They are expensive compared to a lot of other brands out there. I know that HRE is a very high quality product, but is there something else that I don't know about them that makes them sooo special and therefore, so expensive? I know that the name, HRE, itself is a partially responsible for the price tag, but what else?

Thanks!

I had a couple of sets and there is nothing special to them. The wheels are great don't get me wrong! One more thing the resale value sucks!

They are very nice wheels and they have cache. They stand out from the crowd and everyone knows you paid top dollars for them.

Like everything in life, somethings are very overprice, but their will always be customers who want to be exclusive.

They are a forged wheel so that will add to the price. The thing is though they do not make their own parts. The rim sections come from one company in California. The advantage is with the multi piece wheel they can make whatever offset you need.

try jline or iforge, just as good and half the price and it still about 3k a set.

They are marketed to very high dollar vehicals and have so inherited a big price tag. Physically, there's nothing that makes them worth that much money. It's just an exclusivity thing.

Resale does suck... whch depending on what side of the market you're on, could be a good or bad thing

I would definitely recommend not to buy Iforged, Sevus, or Jline that is a huge waste of money. The quality on them are horrible.

If you want a wheel like that go with HRE, Kinesis, or Fikse

HRE's are beautiful though. Here are pics of mine

First off, HRE wheels are among the lighter multi-piece wheels. Lighter wheels like Kinesis, Fikse, and a few others are even more expensive. Secondly, their customer support is on a higher level than any other wheel company you would deal with. Third, among the high quality multi-piece brands out there, they are actually affordable (relatively speaking). And last, all their wheel designs are original, unlike DPE and IForged.
