How important is Staggered Fitment?
I know the stock fit is staggered, bigger rear tires... is that really necessary?
Can I run 17x8" all around? and just stagger my tire sizes? skinnier tires in front and fatter tires in rear?
Just curious... I am planning on maintaining the stagger, im just curious why its there.

Different width tires are there to balance the handling of the car, that is how much oversteer or understeer there is. If you don't have any issues with or just don't really know what, the oversteer/understeer balance is stock, then just don't mess with it and keep the tire width stagger.
Basically the wider the tire, the more grip at that end. So if you think the car has too much oversteer then wider rear tires or thinner front tires. If you think the car understeers too much then thinner rear tires or wider front tires. Additionally, a wider tire obviously fits better on a wider rim. There is only so much tire width variation you can do on non-staggered rims.

Ok, cool, thanks for the info guys...
I'm thinking 17x8 fronts and 17x9 rears
not sure on the tire sizes yet though...
I may just powerdercoat the stockies... and get new tires...
