Default How do u guys always curb your rims?

I never figured it out how people (not just S2ker's) curb up their rims....I think that unless u do alot of parallel parking, lend your car out,or track it, your wheels shouldn't be curbed...Plus it eats up a lot of the value of the wheels......I have mint condition Ap2v2's on my car,so it shouldn't be that hard to keep them from getting messed up....Maybe I'm wrong.....I'm in the market for a set of used CR wheels, that I want to be in mint condition......Thats why I'm bitching......Anyone agree with me?? I know we gotta have some picky ****s on here,lol..

I have done it before in a parking garage where I could not see the curb.

Seriously? I did so several times early on. At the bank drive though, in a parking lot where I couldn't see the curb, on the road... It's not that hard to curb em.

Bah. I didn't buy the car to invest in its stock wheels. If you're looking at anything on your car as an investment then prepare to be extremely disappointed. If it really bothers me I'll fix or replace them.

Another way to screw up wheels is to drop into a pothole when there is no other choice. Scraped up both right side wheel lips early on when a oncoming car gave me no other choice.

lol, ok

So you expect to drive 100k miles at speeds up to 70mph (if we want to be legal) and not a scratch on the vehicle? Let me know where you live and I'll move so my car stays mint.

Either buy a car and drive it (but do take care of it) or keep it as a garage queen and put on 10k miles in 10 years.

16 years of driving I have never curbed a rim

I always have my passenger mirror pointed down so I can see the curb.

i always wondered the same thing. Until last week when trying to turn onto a construction road. I had to hug the curb as there was a narrow gap because of a construction sign. my wheel edged the flat part of the curb, couldnt hold and slipped/dropped a few inches onto the construction surface. pissed!!!

I also never curbed a rim on the s2k.. and I parallel parked almost everyday of the summer.. trick is pointing your passenger mirror at the ground , but also you can not avoid all road hazards..

My OEM ap1 rims have never been curbed, but they were scratched from moving them in the garage goes to show there are myriad ways to screw em up.
